i love my healthy baby girl!

We went for Berklee's 2 month appt today.. so fun but oh so traumatic! The picture above is how she was the whole time until they decided to stick her with three needles! poor thing! But the doctor couldn't believe how big and strong she was! Berklee is able to hold her head so well the doctor tried a test by laying her on her back and holding her hands and pulling her up to see how she could hold her head (a test the doctor usually doesn't do until their 4 month check up) and the doctor was surprised again to see her hold her head so well! I am so grateful for my healthy baby girl! She bring such joy to mine and Jesse's lives! I am blessed to have such a wonderful baby and I know I'm spoiled with how good she is for us. She smiles so much now and it is the best thing in the world! I love being a mommy!

you mean like on vaca?.... road trip!!

Family Trip 2010

We were able to go on our first family road trip. We went down to St. George for the weekend and it was so much fun. Beautiful weather, good company and yummy bbqing! Jesse's younger brother and sister were able to come with us and it was so much fun hanging out with them, playing phase ten, bbqing/smores and swimming.

The first day we tried to go on a hike up in Zion but Berklee was not having it. I thought for sure she'd fall to sleep right when we started hiking but I didn't think about the bus ride up to the hike. It was so windy and loud and she just screamed! So we made it to the museum up the road, went inside, I wrapped her up tight and she went right to sleep (she was just so tired from screaming... so sad :( I didn't want to try and put her back in her carrier so we went back down and went to a imax movie (Sea Rex.. don't see it if you were wondering if you should or not). So pretty traumatic first day and we joked with Caitlin and Joseph just saying "aren't you glad you decided to come with us on this vacation".

Next day we were able to meet up with my sister in law Tiff and some of her family to go swimming at their place. I was so excited to see if Berklee liked swimming or not and guess what???..... she loved it! I think it reminds her of her bath and she loves that so she was happy as can be when we got her in the water! And man alive did her cute little chubby self look cute in her swim suit or what!

Sunday we were able to take a long drive back up to Zion and go through the tunnels, which was my first time. Really my very first time going past the imax movie place and really up up into Zion and it is just beautiful! We had fun just talking with each other and looking at what a beautiful world we live in.

And lastly, Monday! What a relaxing day. Woke up when we wanted, (well me and Jesse woke up when Berklee wanted) cleaned up the house, watched some Cake Boss as the laundry was drying and then got on the road! It really was a great weekend! I can't wait to go again and hopefully next time we'll be able to go on a hike! :)

And luckily only one blow out the whole trip! :)

my best friends wedding

My best friend Kimly got married on Saturday!! I am so so happy for her... she married Jon Bair and they are seriously perfect for each other! The weather was so beautiful while we were in the temple and then it started to rain and hail a little as soon as we got out! But both Kimly and Jon are so laid back they weren't going to let a little rain ruin it... unlike the bride before Kimly. She was seriously SO mad!.. She came out of the temple crying and didn't stop the whole time they were taking pictures... her husband was looking around like what do I do what do I say... all I can say buddy is there's no going back now, you're married to her for time and all eternity :) But the weather held out for their out door reception they wanted and now they are off to Mexico for some really really warm weather! We love you Jon and Kimly!

my little brother has been out on his mission exactly

one year!

I am so proud of my little chubbs... we got to talk to him on Mothers Day and he just has the best attitude. He loves the work so much and has fallen in love with the people and with Sweden! He has been such an example to me my whole life. We were lucky enough to be the only children able to go with my parents on their mission... and I didn't last the whole time but Jamon was there the full three years and honestly nothing could have prepared him more for his mission than that experience! He has always had a desire to go on a mission and I am so grateful for his service!

Happy Mommies Day

my first real mothers day!

We had fun spending time with our families on mothers day! Jesse started out the day giving me the cutest watch ever and spoiling and taking care of me all day (not that he doesn't do that every other day) We got to talk to my little brother who is serving his mission in Sweden and hits his year mark on Thursday.. crazy!! We then got to hang out with my family eating, talking and playing with the babies! My mom had gotten all the girls little gifts for mothers day and I just love mine. We had seen this at a boutique we went to and I remember my mom saying we should get this done but I totally forgot about it and so it was such a surprise when I opened my gift.

I can't wait to hang it up in her room!

Me and Jesse made sure to bring our stroller up so we could go take a walk along the boulevard, it was such great weather and we had a great time! We then got to meet Jesse's family, aunt, uncle and cousins over at Jesse's grandparents and spend time talking and eating yummy angel food cake with them! We had such a fun time spending time with our families and we just love having both our families live so close so we can see them so often!

I am so grateful for both my moms! They do so much for me, especially after Berklee was born and I had such a rough week after with my spinal headache. I am so grateful for Jesse's mom teaching him all that she has and showing such open arms to me. She is so great with all her kids and really so great with her grandkids. And for my mom.. I can't even put into words how amazing she is! She is always willing to help anyone and always puts others before herself. She was here everyday after Berklee was born because I honestly couldn't even sit up without shooting pain in my head, neck and back. I don't know what I, or Berklee, would have done without her! She is such a great example to me and I hope I can be as great a mom as she is!

And here's just a cute picture of Berklee... could she be anymore relaxed! She definitely is her mother's daughter when is comes to sleeping.. this girl loves to sleep! She gave us 6 hours of sleep last night! Woke up to eat at 5:30 and was back asleep for another 3 1/2 hours! (and she's only 5 weeks old) good good girl! :)
