2 years old

Its official..

We have a 2 year old.

Where does the time go?

Her birthday was on Sunday (General Conference) so we had a nice relaxing day and that night we had family and friends come over for some dinner, cupcakes and ice cream. Last year I did an owl cupcake cake and this year (and every year to come) I think I'm going to stick with the cupcake thing. They are just so easy to make and then people can just take one instead of me sitting there cutting up a bunch of slices of cake. Berklee loved having everyone there and couldn't wait to show her cousins her present. Thank you everyone for coming!

some of my favorite things:

• She is a chatterbox. Literally will not stop talking. Always asking where are you going? Where's dad? What are you doing? Look at this, look at that. I love you. She will say full sentences.. its just amazing!
• along with talking she will sing sing sing. She loves popcorn popping on the apricot tree, happy birthday, abc's, tiny turtle, choo choo train, itsy bitsy spider, twinkle twinkle little star, I'm so glad when daddy comes home. And she knows almost all the words to all of them. She loves making up her own songs too and its pretty funny to listen to all the words she puts together to make a song.
• She loves to count. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13. She can sometimes go past but usually is done by 13.
• Knows all her abc's and when she sings it I about die its so dang cute!
• She is back to my little fish. Last year she just wanted to walk around the pool and throw balls into it. This year we have gone to the splash pad and swimming pool and she throws a FIT when we leave and does not get out of the water until the last second.
• After I've done her hair she will touch it and say "thank-you mom" in the sweetest voice. Then after I've taken it out and she's sometimes in tears she will turn and say "thank-you mom". So cute!
• Still loves her food and sleep.
• Some favorite things she says: oh darnit, oh daisy (oopsie daisy), oh goodness, funny goose/silly goose.
• Loves all her friends from our playgroup and gets SO excited to play with them every week.
• Will take my phone when I'm talking to someone she knows and walk around the house talking to them (while holding the phone to her ear with her shoulder) :)

We love you Berklee girl. You bring us such joy. You are such a fun, spunky, caring and sensitive girl. Thank you for being part of our family.

3 years + Cruisin

This year for our 3rd anniversary we were able to go on a cruise!!

My good friend, Courtney, and her hubby invited us to go with them and when we saw the date it landed right on our anniversary and we thought heck thats a good present to us!:)

It was so much fun! Cruises really are one of my favorite kind of trips. Tons to do on the boat, you get multiple places to stop and visit, tons to eat and warm weather (which we didn't get so lucky this time with but still had fun).

Our first stop was Catalina Island. I fell in love with this place. Me and Jesse were able to get off the boat pretty early to go and explore. We found this cave that we climbed up to that no joke had our names and the date was exactly a year earlier. Kinda creepy kinda cool. I just love the feel of Catalina. Tons of small little shops, the pier, the beach that was just perfect to walk on and skip rocks into the ocean. I would absolutely love to just go to Catalina for a week. Preferably in the dead of summer so the water is warmer and we don't have to wear wet suits to snorkel. One day!

Next stop. Ensenada Mexico. A lot warmer than Catalina but not enough to go jumping in the ocean :) We were able to go see the Blow Hole (which I guess there are only 3 large ones in the world.. Hawaii, Australia and Ensenada), we spent some time at the flea market and of course we had to stop at the beach.

Dinners were delish, company was fab and our server was just one of the sweetest guys! He had been working for the cruise lines for like 7 years or something and was sending all his money back to his wife and kids. What a hard worker he was and he was just so much fun!

And of course you get back to your room every night with a cool animal made up with your towels! We had such a great time and had so much fun with Courtney and Justin. Thanks for the invite friends we loved it!! :)

The Bachelor

I love watching The Bachelor/Bachelorette!

But I have never ever felt more embarrassed for someone in my life than I did for this girl last night!

Honestly I was having a panic attack for her, my heart was racing and I was laughing so hard!! Jesse didn't know what was happening to me! Even watching this clip over I start feeling my heart race and I cover my face cuz I can't even stand to watch it!

Who plans how your lips are going to go when you kiss???

soooo embarassing!

But let me be honest.. I guess its kind of embarrassing that I just admitted to watching those shows!!! :)

Oh well.. I love the drama!

22 months

update...

I haven't done an update in a while..

Berklee is growing growing growing.. and not just length wise.

This girl is so dang smart and funny! Man she makes me laugh.

Fun things about Berklee:

- Loves to count-- 1,2,5,7,8,9,10,12,18 -- haha we're workin on it

- Knows pink, purple, yellow, green and sometimes blue

- Knows all her cousins, aunts and uncles names

- Only cries for a second after I drop her off to nursery

- Done with her binky except for sleeping

- Loves to say hi and bye to anyone and everyone

- Very very polite and will always tell you thank you if you give her something

- Still is mommy's little puppy and will follow me EVERY where (when does this stop and she'll just be content with playing by herself) :)

- Has a best friend, HIS name is Kayden and she asks for him everyday.

- Loves to sing sing sing

- Clean freak! Can't stand crumbs on her hands and will wipe them constantly while eating even if she is wiping and then going straight back to the thing that made them dirty in the first place.

- Will always help mommy "cean up" her toys, dinner, laundry, etc.

- Loves "rella" (Cinderella, :) mommy's favorite movie when she was little too)

- Asks constantly "what doing?"

- Loves to slide, swing and jump (I can't wait for warmer spring and summer)

- Will always look back at us and tell us to "come on" as she motions with her hand

- Still loves her food

- Sleeps 9pm-9:30am with a 3-3 1/2 hr nap

- Loves brushin her teeth, bath/shower time and "yotion" (lotion)

She is getting better and better with her words.

Do you ever look back at old pictures and old videos and just die laughing like it just happened yesterday?

Today was one of those days that I needed a good laugh and nothing better than looking at old funny videos...

Literally in all of these videos was my best friend Kimly! Boy do I miss those days of thinking up crazy things to do and just doing them for the heck of it!!

Sorry for the crazy camera but thats just what you are going to get when filming on a boat!

I still die laughing watching this because I just don't understand how hitting that wave sends me flying backwards yet Kimly doesn't move an inch.

Me and Amanda were doing back flips off the diving board so why not Kimly. As you can tell Kimly has never done a back flip before!

We saw this stunt done on So You Think You Can Dance. So why not try it!! There were many many stunts done on SYTYCD that we tried I just don't think we caught a lot of them on camera!

I sit on Kimlys face so in return she lets me face plant it on the ground! I thought thats what the spotters were there to make sure didn't happen but Trissy and Tiff were a little busy trying not to pee their pants. PS this was done at a bee's game on the field waiting for the fireworks to start. We didn't care one bit what people thought of us! :)
