5 1/2 months!!!

*5 1/2 months*
I really can't believe I'm almost 6 months pregnant! I had the cutest experience the other day at work... my patients 3 year old little girl had asked her if she could have a brother and sister and I just started laughing and said "you can be friends with my little girl" as I held my tummy and the little girl said okay well where is she.. and her mom said oh her baby probably won't be here for what another 6 months? I very quickly corrected her saying oh no I've been pregnant for 6 months.. please don't put another 6 months on me! :) My patient couldn't believe it! But I look down and see this huge stomach and know that this is just the beginning.. by the end I'm going to be really HUGE! ugh...
My first ultra sound I had at about 19 weeks was when we first found out we were having a girl.. but taking after her parents she was pretty stubborn and wouldn't let us see her face and crown of her head (which they like to check her brain and lips and things like that) so darn it we had to go back a few weeks later to see our cute little girl again. The second time was amazing.. the second her picture popped up on the screen she arched her back and we just saw her spine perfectly! Everything looks normal and they were able to get to see her brain and lips and everything she wouldn't let them see the first time, so good my daughter has a brain :) I am so grateful for a healthy little girl and so grateful and amazed by the technology they have to make sure she is doing alright in there. They said she is measuring 3 days early.. but I'm defiantly not getting my hopes up! My pregnancy is still going great, although I did have my first experience a few weeks ago of heartburn and oh.... my...... gosh..... I thought I was going to die! I have never had heartburn before and so when it started I did not know what was going on and I was asking everyone at work what was going on and what I could do... all they could say back to me was "there's nothing you can do" and "this is just the beginning of heartburn for you!" OH GREAT! Oh well I guess I need to have at least one symptom of pregnancy while I'm pregnant right! :)

So you think you can dance... dance.... dance!!!!

So for my birthday back in August my mom got me tickets to the So You Think You Can Dance concert! Let me just tell you that we LOVE this show and I was so so happy to see them continuing the season right away this fall instead of waiting until next summer. I love dance and this show has some amazing dancers and choreographers that make this show so entertaining and fun to watch. This season even had a girl from Utah in it, Randy, and she made it all the way to the top 10! She was able to go on tour with a lot of the other favorite dancers like Phillip, Kayla, Janette, Brandon, Kupono, Jason and the winner of season 5, Jeanine!

Me and my mom started off the evening with going to dinner at my ALL TIME FAVORITE restaurant....

Tepanyaki!
They cook the food right in front of you.. and it is AMAZING food!! mmm

*My favorite routine of season 5... Kupono and Kayla - Addiction*

*Brandon and Jeanine - Battlefield*

So for those of you who watch the show you probably remember that awful dance Jeanine and Phillip did together, the Russian folk dance, well... it was the joke of the night! Everytime they brought up dances from around the world out would run Jeanine and Phillip and they would begin their routine. The other dancers that were talking on stage at the time would always yell "STOP.. STOP.. STOP" and send them right off the stage and both Jeanine and Phillip would have the sad look on their face... so funny!

*Jason and Kayla - Zombie*

*Top 3 girls*

Well after coming out about 3 times during other people talking, Jeanine and Phillip finally got out there to dance. They began their Russian folk dance routine when out walked the rest of the top 10 in the same outfits :) They did a little of the routine when the music changed and off came the shirts on the guys and the girls skirts got ripped off with shorter skirts underneath.

It actually was a pretty cool dance.. if only Jeanine and Phillip would have had that dance instead of the one they had on the show :)

*Brandon and Jeanette*

*Jason and Jeanine - Heart dance*

*group dances*

*Phillip's solo.. so awesome*

*Jeanine and Brandon - Paso doble*

*Ade and Melissa - Breast Cancer*

*Final performance*

This concert was so much fun to go to! I hope I can go again for the season 6 dancers... so far they are amazing dancers as well! Thanks mom for the amazing birthday gift! :)

basement remodel

A few months after me and Jesse got married we knew we wanted to remodel our master bathroom downstairs... so after a couple months of workers in our house we have our beautiful new bathroom. (now this isn't new news to some because we've had it done now since summer.. but I haven't put up any pics of it)

Now if you can imagine, where the shower is there used to be a wall and the old shower was in that corner where the furthest sink is and then we had a pedestal sink and then the toilet right next to it. So we knocked out the wall and made a awesome shower and a great double sink where I actually have room to put my make up on! :)

Enough room for both of us! :)

So now after hearing the news of a baby coming we got really excited to paint and fix up the room for the nursery. Once we got going on that we decided the basement was due for some new carpet... knowing that the existing carpet has been there for 6+ years it didn't take much to convince us. So we started... we got right on painting and putting up bead board in the baby room before the new carpet came. Jesse did most of the ripping up of old carpet I just took out the padding.. I did try though, I'm just weak sauce! :)

There was some pretty sweet tile under the carpet in the hallway and bedrooms

It was a lot of fun working on this project together and I'm SO happy with how it turned out. Now all we need is our baby furniture and our baby to fill the room :)

I'm kinda done with projects in the house for a while though. They are so much fun when you see the finished project but the mess during is no fun! We are so happy in our house and there really isn't much else that needs work so I think we'll be happy just doing little things here and there over the next couple years!

Expecting!!!

yep.. that's right.. its my turn!!

Jesse and I found out Aug. 5th that we are going to be expecting.. goes to show how often I update my blog.. but hey at least I'm getting to it! Anyways, I couldn't believe that I was actually prego and I made us go back to the store and get another test.. I think I took 3 before I kind of starting believing it!
By the time I had my first appointment I was already 11 weeks.. and luckily I had and have had zero sickness! I am now 18 1/2 weeks and we find out Nov. 2nd what we are having!!! It is such an amazing time in our lives and I feel so grateful to be having a great pregnancy. I didn't get the sickness part but I definitely had the tired part... I think I would come home from work and literally want to be in bed by 7! Poor Jesse had to put up with it! But now I'm feeling a lot more energized, but still wondering if it is actually real. I'm starting to get a little baby bump (pics on the way) but I just keep saying well maybe when I know what we're having it will make it more real, but as my sister-in-law Ashley told me.. she kept saying that to herself and it wasn't until she was in labor did she say "oh my gosh.. I am really having a baby!" :)
Jesse and I can't wait to be parents and we definitely can't wait to find out what we are having! I will try and keep my blog a little more updated :)

Jackson Hole

We had a wonderful family trip up to Jackson Hole with Jesse's whole family this past week!! I've never been there and I was so excited to see why Jesse's family goes up there every year!! Well for starters.. it is B-E-Autiful up there! We stayed at the Grand Teton RV park where his parents had a trailer and me and Jesse and Marshall and Sacha and their boys had our own cabin! We had such a beautiful view of the Tetons. Jesse and I made it up late tuesday night and here are a few things we were able to do...

Old Faithful (Jesse, me and nephew Owen)

Jesse's family has a tradition of going to Bar J for dinner... its a big chuckwagon dinner and then they put on a show for you! Its four guys that sing old camp fire cowboy songs but its also really funny. We had such a fun time there!

Me and Jesse got to go on two river runs! We did a scenic river run that went by the Tetons and had amazing views with his family and then just me and Jesse went on a white water rafting trip.. we went thru lunch counter and the big kahuna!! SO much fun!! we didn't get any pics of the white water rafting because I don't have a waterproof camera.. sorry!

And last but not least we went on the hike around Jenny Lake up to hidden falls. We got rained on the whole hike but it didn't stop us! The falls were beautiful and really Jackson Hole is just beautiful!

It was an amazing trip and I can't wait to go back next year! Thanks to Jesse's family I was able to see so much.. we were always go go go and I loved it! The boys got to go fishing early in the morning while the girls slept in and had breakfast for them when they got home! We told stories around the camp fire and had yummy smores. I'm sure there's so much more to do up there but I felt like I got to see so much! Can't wait for next year! :)

Fishing!

So Jesse's family is really big into fishing and hunting and all that outdoorsy sort of stuff, not that I'm not, I've just never caught a fish before. Well his family really couldn't believe that so Jesse and his older brother Marshall wanted to get me on a boat that didn't have a tower for wake boarding or a rope hooked onto a tube :) so we went out fishing a couple weeks ago with Jesse's older brother Marshall and his son Owen and Jesse's brother and sister Joseph and Caitlin and guess what..... I actually caught a fish!!! I was so excited until Joseph showed me how to hook my finger thru the opening on the side of the fish (don't know what its called) and put my finger out thru its mouth! SO gross!! But I had to get a picture with me and the fish and that is how I had to hold it!

So overall it was such a fun little fishing trip! I just really don't want to hold another fish like that :) We went a couple weeks ago so it was during the time when it was constantly cold and rainy but they weren't going to let a little cold stop them from taking me fishing! Thanks Palmer family for helping me catch my first fish!
